I don't know how to match tie patterns with other thing patterns.
I don't have the right balance of tie colours to button down colours. In theory, the simplest thing to wear to business formal tomorrow is the purple button down and one of the grey striped ties. And, really, no one remembers me wearing either of those ties. But the company colour is purple, and they always remember you wearing that.
I wore purple tie/black shirt the last time, so I'm not wearing a black shirt and any colour tie this time. I don't have a white button down! How is that possible? But I have a slightly off white silk button down I can wear the red/dark red stripes with, but I seriously cannot find the right black skirt for it. I have a black A-line skirt with red pinstripes, and if I were a boy, I'd probably wear those pants, but I don't know...I just don't know.
Why do I not have a black or grey skirt that's simple enough to wear with a tie and sharp enough for business formal? What kind of life have I led to be in these straits?
I'm a good person, aren't I? Sometimes?
I love your fashion dilemmas, ita.
Mine is why can't I get the word YES, which was written on my back in skin marker -- an actual product, by the way, not Sharpie which is too pricey -- off my back?

Notes for the surgeon?
Makeup remover wipes or things that are oil-based. Or, you know, oil.
Shaving cream?
Domestic shooting a couple blocks from me. Suspect unaccounted for. Explains the copters. Ah, Baltimore.
Or if the marker is oil based, witch hazel.
You know, I had completely forgotten that Anne Rice was the originator of "You are interrogating the text from the wrong perspective"
You would think that's something I would remember, too. But nope.

That outfit sounds sharp! Wear that!

Baby wipes. Baby wipes, and a tiny bit of baking soda. That should remove it, because I've used that combo to remove Sharpie writing from my skin before.
Was sarameg just saying that the lady on Dropout Nation reminded her of Tammy Taylor? Because I was just thinking the same thing!
That outfit sounds sharp! Wear that!
Wide stripes! Narrow stripes!
When you consider the random things I don't care about pattern wise, this is pretty damned nuts. But I often stare at tie/shirt or tie/jacket combos on TV thinking nuh-huh.
And I have worn the Doc Marten Mary Janes twice this week, so character shoes it is.
Oh! I have a bracelet question. If you have a bracelet with writing or a picture that has orientation to or away from your hand (like a Livestrong or What Would Jesse Do bracelet), what way do you point it? So you can read it, or so others can?
Okay, here's another provocateuse question. Here are the top women on venus.provocateuse.com. The most popular got over 19K hits between the start of August and now. The lowest on this list got 2,200. Who do you figure is top and who is bottom?
- fairuza balk
- aj cook
- maggie gyllenhaal
- katherine heigl
- queen latifah
- helen mirren
- aishwarya rai
- winona ryder
- lili taylor
I really need to track back and find out the *why* of all this. Shit is random.
Wide stripes! Narrow stripes!
Erm, so? (Says the woman who's planned outfit for tomorrow includes a black blazer with narrow pink stripes and a pair of stockings that are wide pink and white stripes.)

So I can read it, because I'm wearing it for me.
But I already know what it says? (It's the Wonder Woman logo in this specific case...)
As for the stripes, if the thin stripes were on the smaller or higher piece of clothing (tie), I wouldn't feel awkward about it. But if feels upside down this way.
