We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Then there is this awesome permanent body mod, or rather remod : [link] (Woman had replacement ear constructed and 'grown' in her arm!)

Whitefonting for potential squick issues: my ex lost a thumb in a car accident, and they replaced it using one of his big toes. While it was healing, his new thumb (already attached to his hand) was sewn into his hip to get lots of rich blood from the artery there. You can't tell unless you look closely (although the missing toe is obvious in sandals or bare feet). He doesn't have full feeling in that thumb, but it's still pretty damn cool. Because missing a thumb is no fun, he tried going without for a year before getting the surgery.

Wait, so his thumb, while attached to his hand, was sewn into his hip?

Also, I'd have serious balance issues lacking that toe. My other toes are little weaklings, big toe does a lot of work. And it'd look funny elsewhere.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay! Happy birthday Matilda!

You have got to look at this temporary body mod:

People are so fucking weird.

I assume it's novelty for novelty's sake? But I guess I'm kinda judgey. I understand wanting to embrace an aesthetic that isn't traditional beauty, but usually I can see the beauty in it.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Docs really don't worry too much about keeping toes functional. I have two toes that don't bend and that does have an effect on how I push off when walking.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Woo too too! My sister is going to submit some of the pics I took for the magazine special her friend is going on the villa. Taken with my tablet, to boot! Take that, Canon and Nikon and SLRs and stuff!

(Well, let's see if they accept them...)

sarameg, yes. For six months, I think? And losing a toe has changed his gait, so he has knee problems he didn't have before.

OMG. I cannot fathom the difficulty of life like that.

Hey, if anyone needs a mood boost, I just was sifting through my delicious and stumbled across this vid I don't watch anywhere near enough times: [link]

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I made it back to karate group class. First one in too many weeks. It felt good. We worked on club, knife, and choking techniques.
