I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

brraaaiiiinnnnnsssss

so annoying co-worker that will not let me work on my own on these budgets ended up having to do lots of the tedious busywork because she would not give more information. oh well, too bad so sad.

Theother VP that I half-support is letting me pull his budget pieces together AND communicate directly with finance with questions. Like I am a grown-up worker and everything. I let him know that I am open to moving solely to his group.

Other things I have done this week at work include designing a holiday party invitation, putting together 4 travel iteneraries, scanning in a ream of papers, serving a lunch to a meeting, ordering office supplies, and updating the action item matrix for the department heads. here there everywhere.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Check out this picture of the young Eudora Welty - doesn't she look a bit like Juliet Landau there?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Like I am a grown-up worker and everything.

?!?!?!

My coworker has decided to walk in the Alzheimer's walk with me and my family, along with her sister and nephew. They aren't going to raise money or anything, just physically walk. Why?? We are not friends. I mean, we're reasonably friendly at work, but we are not friends. If you want to go for a walk along the river, why not do it away from the thousands of people in purple t-shirts? I just don't understand this as a means of showing support.

Thanks for all the Birthday greetings!

I have the day off, but very low-key plans. I had breakfast w. a friend, then popped into my hair place to make an appt and they could take me right then! So I got a much needed haircut. Then I wandered into some book/vintage shops until it started to rain. I may convince a friend to meet me after work for a drink.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sounds like an ideal day off/birthday, Sue.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Scrappy, Consuela, I will check both places out. Thanks!

And Sue, happy birthday!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that sounds nice, Sue.

I am so excited to have no plans on Saturday, I don't even know.

I was feeling super pouty about my whole birthday/lack of plans thing yesterday, but I am having a really lovely day. My problem is I always want to celebrate my birthday, but I hate making myself the center of attention.
