Huh. I totally would've over estimated blacks and Latinos. Not sure about asians, and I mightve underestimated Jews.I would've guessed closer to 20-25% for both black and Latino.

The metaphor of pulling oneself up by one's bootstraps was of working hard enough to graduate from stinky stable workboots to elegant shiny new boots--and servants to get them onto your feet.
