Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies Lee!

And Birthday Belated Happies to Nora!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, Lee!

This conversation is reminding me that I want a new large skillet for those times when you want to brown more than 2 pieces at once (my cast iron, she rocks but she is only 10 in diameter). I would love all-clad stainless for the even heating properties.

So I had fun in Clintonville over the weekend. There was a "Fall Frenzy"! I posed for a picture with the A&W Root Bear! There was someone in a chicken costume! Puppets sang "I'm Proud to be an American" while waving American flags!

Then I connected my iPad to my paretns' TV and we watched Star Trek and Doctor Who episodes. Then my youngest son Mason explained to us why time travel is impossible and started talking about alternate universes and gravitons and what-not. I guess he learned that stuff from Nova. He's in fourth grade.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thanks, y'all!

I got my mother a huge frying pan for Christmas a couple of years ago, and it is kind of great. It mostly lives in the attic, but when she wants to use it, it's super handy. And huge.

hip deep in pie

I woke up this morning to my cat puking blood. Yikes.

Jesse, was it a lot of blood? Or blood tinged bile? Isn't he on meds? Years ago, Pico starting vomiting blood while on antibiotics and it was because his stomach was irritated. I had to start giving him antacids before he got his meds.

(And Clio sometime throws up bloody bile after eating grass. I guess that irritates her stomach.)

I think it was just blood-tinged, but the meds he is on are totally for his stomach! So now I think maybe it's the B12 shots that helped him and less the steroids, because I've been giving him steroids at home, but not B12. He's been fine for a month until this weekend. We'll see! Bleh.
