Happy birthdays Lee, Nora, and baby panda!
Natter 70: Hookers and Blow
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I woke up this morning to my cat puking blood. Yikes. So I can get him into the vet this afternoon, but had to make it a little later than the first available, because I have a call with a headhunter at that time! My day just got a little too exciting.
Happy once and future birthday, Nora!
Baby Panda born yesterday at the National Zoo:
Immigrants having babies! Scandal at 8:00! Cuddly, adorable scandal!
Happy birthday, Lee! I would like to assure you that, evidence to the contrary notwithstanding, your birthday has not been outsourced to China.

I want an anchor panda.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, all!
Happy Phoenix day!
I want an anchor panda.
Me too!
All-Clad Stainless! It is super spendy, but amazing, and it is not hard to clean. I bought these little scrubbies from Lehman's and they are like magic. The big deal with all clad is that the heat spreads more evenly because the cladding goes all through the material. Bottom clad pots just heat the bottom. Also, the All-Clad stainless steel is magnetized, so it's usable for induction cooking. Dunno if that matters to you ow, but it may in the future.
I buy my All-Clad in piece parts at TJ Maxx.
Birthday Happies Lee!
And Birthday Belated Happies to Nora!
Happy birthday, Lee!
This conversation is reminding me that I want a new large skillet for those times when you want to brown more than 2 pieces at once (my cast iron, she rocks but she is only 10 in diameter). I would love all-clad stainless for the even heating properties.
So I had fun in Clintonville over the weekend. There was a "Fall Frenzy"! I posed for a picture with the A&W Root Bear! There was someone in a chicken costume! Puppets sang "I'm Proud to be an American" while waving American flags!
Then I connected my iPad to my paretns' TV and we watched Star Trek and Doctor Who episodes. Then my youngest son Mason explained to us why time travel is impossible and started talking about alternate universes and gravitons and what-not. I guess he learned that stuff from Nova. He's in fourth grade.
Happiest of birthdays, Lee! I'll eat cake in your honor!
