Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, speaking of literally, on the menu where I had dinner last night was "literally fried octopus." We couldn't figure out if they meant it was literally fried, or literally octopus. Or if they meant something else entirely, of course.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You didn't order it to find out? Or did that not clarify matters?

Art Crawl!!!

Walking home from the bus tonight I saw an actual bulldog riding an actual skateboard.

It was very cool.

This is why I end up napping on the couch: [link] (I'd just gotten up after wresting myself from their hypnotic sleep vibes.)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

More evidence that (some) people are no damn good. Friends had their computers burglarized in Brooklyn. They had a theory as to who the burglar was that did not interest the police because (the cop pretty much said this) the person they suspected was white. OK, thanks to some help from the Buffistas they actually found one of the computers - erased the data when the thief went on line. The cops still were not interested, when given the address where the stolen property was. Meanwhile the NYPD has funding for this huge demographics unit that infiltrates Mosques and Muslim groups that extends its reach to New Jersey and to Boston. And the NYPD now has an office or precinct in Israel. I guess cause there are no law enforcement or intelligence agents in Israel who have any interest in terrorism aimed at NYC. I can see how tracking down burglars is dull in comparison.

He's a giant ball of smoosh. I'd like to get him a little less so (Pumpkin's helped, some), but he'll always be plush and squishable.

My mother confuses me. She just emailed me that my passport had the year of birth wrong. Uh, no? It says '75, not '76. I go look at the last time I sent them a scan and...it's high enough quality that it clearly is '75. BESIDES, I have travelled through 4 countries on this passport in the past 7 years, YOU WOULD THINK SOMEONE'D NOTICE!

Now tagless for your comfort.

Or did that not clarify matters?

Clarified butter?
