Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Since you’re in Nashville, the sound of the train might fill you with with a sense of deep regret about the man you shot in Reno.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I would also like my husband to wake up so we could go get breakfast, but I am not quite low enough to go "accidentally" wake him up.

I've been known to send one of the kids to wake DH because I am just low enough to do that.

information libertarian

Probably the only trains that use those tracks are Midnight Trains to Georgia. (Everbody with me - whoo whoo!)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I live about half a mile from the railroad tracks and got used to it pretty quickly. I do still get ear wormed from hearing that lonesome whistle blow, but I can sleep through it just fine as long as the bedroom windows are closed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I kind of loved living several blocks from the train station, because I do like the whistle sound.

brillig

A block away is one thing. Less than a hundred yards is not fun.

The status is NOT quo.

My first house as a child was near the train tracks, and I still fun those sounds deeply soothing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, I had friend with commuter rail tracks in their backyard. That was noticeable.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Are there people who don't root for the underdog?

yes. I won't accuse the whole current GOP (still trying to stay positive, it is early in the morning), but certainly most of Wall Street, Romney and his friends absolutely do not root for the factory worker.

The kinds of quotes coming from Wall Street workers (not CEOs, middle of the road people investing in funds, brokers) absolutely shocked me when a NYT article interviewed them. The sense of entitlement they felt was astounding. Have you discovered penicillin? Then shut the fuck up with your six+ figure salary. Feel blessed.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

We lived near the tracks when I was a baby. Mom told me she rather liked it, because when she'd be up with me at 3am the sound of the train made her feel less isolated, like there were other people around and awake.
