Question for a of you- Are there people who don't root for the underdog? That is- I was watching a documentary about a failed textile union strike in the south in1934, and I started wondering if there were people who would watch it and think "these poor factory owners- having to make sure these people are safe and pay them a living wage". I can't fathom it, but it also seems like a lot of literature and entertainment is based on the small triumphing over the big, right back to David and Goliath and Jesus, so it must be common, right?

I just walked to the local hippie co-op for breakfast (apple cake and coffee) and then walked back home. It rained the whole time, but it's warm enough to be enjoyable especially if, like me, you prefer gray, rainy days to hot, sunny ones.

Just like "common folks" really felt they could relate to Dubya. You know, with his wealthy East-Coast elite family and Ivy League education.

Grocery shopping today. Later we go to Gary's mom's place for dinner.
It depends on how "other" you can paint the underdog. Then you can turn it into "Us vs. Them", because They hate our way of life and Want To Destroy Us.
