You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

The status is NOT quo.

I would totally come help you hang pictures if my mom weren't in town this weekend, Cass!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, that is sweet. I just need to get over this junk and then hang things. A couple pieces need repair so those are maybe going to take longer. But I think I'm happy with placements.

Really I have TWO boxes left to unpack. One is curtains and the other is full of things that go in bookcases except I am out of room in bookcases for anything but stacks of books and smaller art objects that go up after the bigger art. And not a single thing was broken, not one. So I am doing pretty good for moving and unpacking.

And please tell your mom hi for me. She's awesome.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

A former student of mine is spending a semester in Cairo. I'm finding it really interesting to read her take on current events. [link]

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ok, who remembers why I opened an Amazon.com tab? Because I don't...

To check on if I can buy a season pass to the upcoming season of Survivor?

Anyone not in sloth mode should come to my house. It is in desperate need of someone industrious. Which is not me, lately.

I did have a good time at a friend's birthday, and then at dancing. But so sweaty. I hate being sweaty.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

It would appear that sleeping for major portions of the day is perhaps not conducive to sleeping at night.

Huh

You are not wrong. Sleep is problematic. I am still going to go try some more though.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Question for a of you- Are there people who don't root for the underdog? That is- I was watching a documentary about a failed textile union strike in the south in1934, and I started wondering if there were people who would watch it and think "these poor factory owners- having to make sure these people are safe and pay them a living wage". I can't fathom it, but it also seems like a lot of literature and entertainment is based on the small triumphing over the big, right back to David and Goliath and Jesus, so it must be common, right?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I just walked to the local hippie co-op for breakfast (apple cake and coffee) and then walked back home. It rained the whole time, but it's warm enough to be enjoyable especially if, like me, you prefer gray, rainy days to hot, sunny ones.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are there people who don't root for the underdog?

The Republican party?
