Fred: So you don't worry that it's possible for someone to send out a biological or electronic trigger that effectively overrides your own sense of ideals and values and replaces them with an alternative coercive agenda that reduces you to a mindless meat puppet? Shopkeeper: Wow. People used to think that I was paranoid.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Huh, I think I went to grad school with the woman who wrote that Tiger Mom article.

not your mom's socks.

Holy moly does HPF wish she was 3 years older right now: [link]

(while I don't want her to grow up any faster, I hope this program is still around in a couple of years...)

Oo, I think I need to order that logical fallacy poster for my work. Thanks, Allyson.

And Sox, that program looks great.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

When did HKF become HPF? Or are they 2 different children?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

When did HKF become HPF? Or are they 2 different children?

I think she decided she likes Harry Potter better than Hello Kitty now.

She switched fandoms, didn't she?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Obviously, she needs crossover fic.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Obviously, she needs crossover fic.

That's just wrong!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm tired of eating carrots, dammit.

I'm going to make a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for lunch.

I think I might want a counter top panini press.

Looong work day. But instead of crashing though we both wanted to, me and my other fellow no-more-work-socializing (honestly, by the end of today, what with almost all day yesterday being around each other, it was getting a little too much circular energy) ended up walking around town, desultorily shopping, grabbing a drink in a patio cafe, then ambling and talking about NONwork stuff. Stopped at a place and got a bunch of tapas/small plates: canutillos puerros (think tempura-but crisper strips of leek and possible a cheese with a blueberry sauce) raviolis wrapped in zucchini and jamon and fish croquets (for her,) toasta pork solomillo with tomato and brie and grilled asparagus wrapped in jamon iberico. Just right.

And now I'm chilling. One more day, then I'm pure solo. Rooms are booked.

Hope this football game ends soon. It's noisy with door to the balcony open.
