Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am only working 8-10 tomorrow because of a budget meeting, then have the rest of the day off.

manicure, lunch with a friend, a couple of hours with the nanny to go over some longer-term projects that she can do since she is cleaning faster than I can assign new tasks. She has run the dishwasher twice when it was not full and I really don't that kind of stuff just for something to do.

used microwave to reheat casserole for my dinner.

This casserole is a great new recipe for me because it uses dressing (Thanksgiving dressing) which I LOVE, but doesn't taste too Thanksgivingy.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

We don't have a microwave. But we do eat oatmeal fairly often.

It's certainly not impossible and not to everyone's tastes but, for me, I find it's the key to my eating oatmeal which is good for me. So I am pleased to have one again.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I have a microwave, and I use it often, and I eat hot cereal often, but I don't make the hot cereal in the microwave.

I actively avoid using my stove 4-5 months out of the year, so if I want something hot or cooked, I need a microwave. Much less heat to dissipate.

Security guy at the Y was wearing his jacket; it was 76. But everyone has been remarking on the chill in the air. Because we are all so broken after this summer.

I marvelled how the sun was setting on my walk home. Summer is slipping rapidly away.

brillig

The leaves have all nearly turned on the mountains, though that's partially because of drought. And the sun has no longer cleared the mountains by the time I get up in the morning.

Building just rattled from a big assed thunder clap right over head. Hooray for reading and heeding weather.com and for rolling up my windows.

It was 40 degrees here when I left the house this morning, but 70 by this afternoon. Dragging a coat around all day is a pain.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It was 65-68 all day here, as far as I could tell. Both outside and in my office.

Punishingly Intricate

I use the microwave to melt butter and heat up leftovers sometimes. And defrost stock most of the way if I've forgotten to take it out of the freezer in time. The microwave broke a couple of years ago and can only be set in 30 second increments which is kind of a pain in the ass. I could live w/out the microwave, if I had to, but would miss it.

I really want some ice cream (even though it is now FALL, evidently) and we have no ice cream. wah wah
