Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The Ellen update is back! She brought out three of the Olympic gymnasts to surprise Pink, and I feel like Pink is an excellent mother because what she said to them was, "You worked so hard!"

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Now I'm trying to envision what fake avocado would be like.

If Whole Foods "reduced fat guacamole" is an example, it's mashed peas. See also: yuck.

it sounds like the seller is going to pay to fix the ceiling!

Excellent news!

I've been using the stove more than the microwave lately, which is unusual for me. But when my depression hits, as the last few days, I live on tuna sandwiches, because even microwaving is apparently too much to deal with.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Aww, I want to see this.

Also, anyone who enjoys the theatah should check out Broadway or Bust on PBS -- it's three parts about a national high school competition. I haven't actually watched yet, but it looks so exciting! The first one was last night, but if it's not repeating, it's on pbs.org.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did not get fired. I did tell my boss that I was convinced I was going to be in a lot of trouble and he seemed surprised. So I went on to tell him that the previous HR meeting had been surprise to me and so I was terrified when he called about today's mistake.

Also, I am hormonal and having anxiety attacks because of the date, but I did not tell him that. I was crying at my desk multiple times today because I had to deal with three sets of travel arrangements for tomorrow.

Aw, msbelle. You can make it through. And good for you being honest with your boss.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congrats Kate! Nice to hear good news.

Sending vibes to msbelle and all who need them.

I am so tired I can barely sit here, and I need to get up in a moment and make dinner. Oy. And then conferencing with students all week, which is a pretty serious drain on one's life force, plus no sitter for the week (she's in NYC). I'm gonna be a wreck by Friday.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I used my microwave just now to melt butter for the granola bars I just put in the oven. I could have used a tiny pot on the stove, but then I'd have a pot to wash instead of a small silicone bowl. I don't do any microwave cooking as such (I've tried microwaved oatmeal, I do not like it) but it's fab for prep work.

Not fired is good but even better would be a job that didn't leave you fearing you'll be fired at the drop of a hat.
