This weekend: working, third date with a guy from OKC, working, feeding Tom and Nora's cats, working. And sleeping, there must be sleeping. And brunch at a friend's.

I will be venturing to Hampdenfest & seeing a friend's band that night, swimming, yardwork and the usual errands. And a pedicure.
I think the bag of coffee I opened this week is broken, Which is to say, unlabelled decaf. Because I've been getting the late afternoon zombies like the month I accidentally grabbed labelled decaf, and there is really no other feasible explanation.
I have the zombies today too but in my case it's just regular ol' sleep deprivation. I only got 5 hours last night.
The weekend starts soccer season. Morning game tomorrow. (BOO FAIL!) and afternoon game Sunday (BOO, I MISS FOOTBALL). I plan on more ebaying and maybe some baking. Tomorrow after soccer mac has a friend coming over, I plan to weed the yard while he is here - the temps have been over 100 all week and are supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow.
Y'all! I cooked this past week, like two main dishes and a side (from a box, but still!). and I have been eating them and this whole someone to help out thing is WORKING!!.
Ooh, I found bags of Starbucks Willow blonde decaf at the grocery on clearance. 50%!

Yay!
This weekend I'll be running errands, doing laundry, watching football and mowing the lawn. I hope to get my "Overdue Items" in Omnifocus under 300, and I have most of a liter of Sodastream's version of Red Bull and 3 batches of coffee custard to help me. Bzzz.
I just got home from a work event (after waiting 45 minutes for the bus, oy) and have a burrito. So that's good.
Tomorrow I'm helping my mother with a yard sale.
Other than that, the sofa.
I would not be surprised if the fancy bag story happened to somebody, actually.
Skipped a bunch of posts to reply to this. As I recall, there was a garbage strike in either Chicago or New York in the 70s, I think. Some people wrapped their garbage in fancy paper like presents and left them in their "accidentally" unlocked cars, so it was stolen by thieves who were very disappointed with their haul.
I don't think it worked too many times, but it was around the holidays so it happened often enough.
Two things from my evening: I was only at the event because of one couple who was there. At one point, the wife asked how long I had to be there.... The real answer was, "Five minutes longer than you!" But I did not say that.
They finally left, and I went back to my office to get my purse. But the cleaning people had been through, and locked my office! With my key inside! I finally got a security guy to let me in, but thank goodness other coworkers were still around to suggest that, because I hadn't thought of it.
If the past three days are any indication, this weekend I shall be coughing, sneezing, and incessantly blowing my nose.
