Punishingly Intricate

Consuela, so sorry about your co-worker. fucking suck.

Cash, also sucks about your husband's job. (May I put a good word in for Baltimore? OF COURSE!) Also, your nephew is awesome!

Oh! I've been wanting to say, ita !, my cousin had (or possibly still has?) one of those internal, battery pack, pain control devices. She doesn't have migraines but another, resistant to treatment, chronic pain condition. I don't think it solved all her issues or anything but if you wanted to talk to her about her experience, I'm sure she'd be happy to talk to you. Or if you have questions I can pass them on to her. Just let me know.

ION, I finally got a fitbit but I can't get my computer to talk to it which makes me just want to give up and sit on the couch and drink cocktails. At least for tonight.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Consuela, I'm so sorry.

Cash, glad you and DH have some time to scheme. Big Easy Rollergirls, BTW, not to mention the annual Running of the Bulls.

Roller derby looks like a ton of fun, but I'm pretty much certain that it would get a "hell no" from every one of my doctors and physical therapists. (And really, I know better that to risk something like that. But still, looks like fun.)

Yeah, I'm going to be paying for my five years of rugby for the rest of my life, but I wish I wish I could do roller derby.

Derby is, hands down, the most fun thing I have ever done. It takes a lot of physical effort but the emotional payoff is amazing.

And this is why.

Consuela, that's horrid, I'm sorry.

You too, Cash. I hope your husband finds a good fit that means minimal uprootage for you guys.

This week is all discombobulated.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

She pointed out that you can't spit at my mother's family without hitting a homosexual, and he was all "really??"

On this note, apparently there is at least one gay person in every other generation on one side of my family. But the current generation only has one person in it so far! I hope I'm not the one to tell her she has to be a lesbian.... (She's four.)

But also, isn't it noticeable that some families are more gay than others? (Am thinking of my college roommate with two of three sisters plus their father.) I just thought about this when I saw a thing saying that at least one of the Duggar kids should be gay. I mean, not necessarily...

Cash, I'm sorry your husband will be losing his job. Even losing a job you're not wild about is a big stressor.

ETA: Congratulations, Tom!

But also, isn't it noticeable that some families are more gay than others?

Yeah, I can't really find any in my generation (16.) A lot of single ones, but not gay. And I don't know of any in the more extended family, and it isn't as if it would be an issue with that brood, so. Oh, my mom is (as was her mom & dad) convinced a foster sister of hers is, but has completely suppressed her sexuality (not identity) so that all her relationships are platonic, so lots of other issues there. But that's the only one I can even sorta count....
