Punishingly Intricate

Theo, so sorry for your loss.

I think I accidentally hit a hiccup on fb, so in case it didn't take, my condolences, Theo.

I'm trying to motivate. Back from the market and I should do my errands, but since I'll be up by the pool, I'll swim between Target and Tjs and I'm not feeling the swim thing just yet. I might couch for a little bit. My schedule is all off this weekend.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Suela, is your mother on any anti-anxiety type of medication?

HAH. Welbutrin, Seroquel, and Xanax.

I'm not suggesting that your mom's meds be changed, because I understand that (1) ANY change is very very difficult to implement with her, and (2) tinkering with an existing meds regimen introduces potential side effects, which in and of themselves can be a pain in the ass.

All that said, Wellbutrin gave me (and others) HORRIBLE anxiety. Bad enough that that was the reason I stopped taking it. (And then, of course, it doesn't cause anxiety in other people.)

So if the possibility of switching your mom's meds ever comes up in discussion with her doctor(s), maybe keep that in the back of your mind -- it's possible the Wellbutrin is exacerbating her anxiety. But it also might not be worth it to try to take her off of it to see.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Theo, I'm so very sorry.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Theo. Grateful that your mom had such a good run, and that the end was so peaceful and full of so many family pleasures and joys and comforts, but still so sorry for the gap she leaves in all your lives.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I sincerely hope that Kat and Grace are both sound asleep somewhere that works best for their family. A bonus would be hearing that real food has happened. Not that graham crackers aren't yummy, but not lasting satisfaction.

This mainly happend. Grace finally got transferred to a hospital with a room at around 11:00 pM (27 hours in the ER! At a different hospital!) On her way out, there had been the bikeLA riders all over. A couple came in on gurneys. Many had no clothes and were wearing brown trash bags. It caused a clog in the system of leaving.

On the arriving side, the second half of the injured bikers were there. Then the EMT wanted to bring the dead guy on the gurney (in a leaky box!) up on the elevator with Grace. Luckily Yoousef, the nice RT told them to wait for the next one.

I am at home about to go get Noah. Then we'll have a brief AM play time. Then we'll all go see Grace.

Because books.

I'm sorry, Theo. It is always sudden.

Glad Grace is settled, but the bikeLA stuff confused me -- people were naked? And dead? What now?
