I wish I weren't working! I'd bring you a care package. Instead I'm tearing my hair out, and now I have to convince my boss of something I've been dreading all week...

Unrelatedly, except relatedly--members of the company have been under strict NDA about stuff for over a month, partially because a specific news outlet was to be the first to report it.

And then...the outlet reported it by mistake today instead of next Wednesday. People pissed! We've been on eggshells for a month, and now screwed by someone who doesn't even work for us..

Jesse, I always feel like I can't judge a haircut until I've washed and dried it myself. Which drives stylists nuts because they're all "do you LOVE IT??!?" and I'm like "well, it looks ok I guess..."

It seems clear to me that the average RNC-going Romney/Ryan Repub only embraces non-whites when they have become rich and powerful.

One of the GOP delegates took his wife to Epcot prior to attending the convention. He was SHOCKED and disappointed to find a MEXICAN working in the USA part of Epicot. He voiced his disapproval.

I hate when stylists say, "Do you LOVE IT??!?" because, you know, if I did, I would probably have said, "OH I LOVE IT" and if I didn't, you're just fishing for a compliment.

But yeah, until I've done it the way I'm going to be doing it, I don't know. The SO just gave me money for a haircut, but I don't know if I want a haircut or if I want an extra session with the trainer. I can afford one more right now, but maybe I should have two?

I know you're totally right. I got complacent after seeing the same person for two years! I should just go back to her -- it's not actually that far away!

Grr. One of my team members, who I am already annoyed with, is now hitting one of my supreme pet peeves. I love IM for business purposes, but if you are going to send me an IM that says "Hi Brenda" and wait for me to respond before you tell me what you fucking want, you can sit there all day.

(You can see through the system if I am logged in and if the computer has been inactive for any length of time, so there is just no reason for this. Except to aggravate me.]

Mark spoke up and told them he was highly offended after visiting the other countries and seeing employees from that country and then come to America and find a Mexican. He was very civil but his point was well made.

The media is reporting how horrible the Republicans are for having a convention while Hurricane Issac is happening. ?????? We have yet to see a hurricane. Perhaps Obama wanted a hurricane to cancel Republican Convention, but good will prevail over evil and the Republicans will take over the White House in 2013!

I got a note from facilities in the office that I need to check my mailbox. I never get hard copy stuff. My manager and our admin assistant are out of the office today. Do I want to make a special trip over there just to satisfy my curiosity?
