I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I just got the best news - the director of Dylan's old daycare (where we'll be sending Aeryn in January) is starting up an afterschool program AND she will be offering pickup from his school!!!

This means we only have to cover 4-5 weeks of childcare in Nov-Dec for Aeryn (our babysitter is having a baby), which we can probably do with the uber-spendy daycare at DH's office. I'm so relieved I can't even tell you.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Cool...I only lasted about five minutes. Ryan makes me want to hit things(Gotta be honest--mostly him. But maybe something I like would be collateral damage.)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Jesse,

I have been reading Pierce daily since about March. He is about 40% responsible for helping me keep my rage in check.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Jess!

He is about 40% responsible for helping me keep my rage in check.

I had pretty well checked out, so he is building my rage back up!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Steve Benen over at the Maddow Blog has been doing incredibly impressive work this year as well. Less gifted with turn of phrase than Pierce (but really who else could coin "hollow eyed granny starver" about Paul Ryan).

My roommate forced me to turn on the convention last night, but we did at least watch MSNBC and not on fox like she suggested.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I'm glad to hear Smonster and Nora are doing well (and yay for the Internet and 3G and all that jazz!)

Yay also for massages and babysitting and other yays!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, meara!

I can't believe I asked a project manager to add "Gwen Cooper" to the list of people who can book time against his project.

Yeah, we have a Gwen. Her surname is not Cooper. Didn't realise I'd done that wrong until just now.

And, if you'd asked me what the character's surname was, I'd have told you I didn't remember.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Birthday Happies, meara!!

ita !, can I have Gwen Cooper's number?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Many happy returns, meara!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Happy Birthday meara!

I am glad out New Orleanians are safe!

I do not feel well.

Does anyone have a catchier name for 'Online Course Development Group'? It is a group of people (like a writer's group) who will be meeting semimonthly to critique and work on their online course.
