"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I could never describe my eating habits as "paleo" with a straight face. It's such a bullshit name. But the diet itself seems desirable, although my fondness for carbs means it'll never be my diet. Like tonight's dinner was chicken roasted with lemon and oregano, rice, and artichokes. And guac for Franny because she loves it and she needs all the extra calories I can get into her. That's another reason not to avoid carbs in my house. I can easily make rice or pasta and then leave all the eating to the kids, but I want to make sure there are some high calorie items on the table.

Georgia's state processed food is grits.

I couldn't call a diet paleo unless I was eating insects and roots from my yard and occasional road kill.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

y'all I am stressed about McPhee's first day tomorrow.

I am afraid I don't have enough for her to do because I am not organized enough yet. Maybe if I write up a note to leave her it will clarify things in my mind. make sense? I feel crazy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Don't worry about it. You will settle into a rhythm. Tell her you're concerned about it, and that you hope to get her established once it's clearer what you'll need and what she can do. Tell her to expect some initial downtime, and that it will fill in as you go.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

She'll be anxious to make sure she's doing enough, too, so if you express your concerns at the outset, you can both relax and find your pace.

Because books.

What Liese said, and a note will definitely help clarify it for you both.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't deal with the name Paleo. I don't care how healthy it is to eat fresh whole foods all the time, you cannot with a straight face tell me that your kale and quinoa pilaf with bacon on the side in any way resembles something a caveman would have eaten.

(My sister cut out bread and cheese from her diet and describes it as "Like Paleo but without the bullshit.")
