Ok, so, New Orleans people, assuming its a hurricane but not a super awful one...will the power be out forever and stuff closed? My flight in on Wednesday was cancelled, obviously, but I don't want to reschedule it and then be flying into a place I can't buy water! But if it's like last year and no big deal (granted that was not a hurricane, just a tropical storm) I'd hate to entirely cancel and sit at home all weekend.

Unfortunately, there's really no way to know. No one here knows what to expect. Isaac hasn't even become a hurricane yet (has it?) and we're all just waiting to see what happens.
I'm sorry, I know it's a tough decision. Perhaps see if you can fly out Friday?
Stay safe, peoples!
Ugh Suela, not fun. Hope she's okay.
And sending safe home vibes to smonster and Nora.
Is this alternate history moon landing speech real?
I had a stupid sort of depressing thought on the drive back from work that I made out with a guy that appeared on Buffy, and although Supernatural is still running, I'll never make out with a guy on that favourite show of mine. Because I'm old, and I don't randomly make out with people who do that sort of thing (or anyone) anymore.
My UK English spellchecker doesn't like anymore. What do British people say instead?

Chumblynuts.
Training session went well. I texted her from the parking lot and said I was scared to come in the gym, so she came and got me and introduced me to everybody and it was fine.
Not that I'll have to be at the gym a lot because she's giving me stuff I can do at home. And I have to meet her again tomorrow (at Starbucks!) to talk about nutrition. Which seems completely perverse, but hey!
Anyway. I didn't die. I have sore muscles. I don't feel terrified about it anymore. So I guess that's good?
meara,
I think you need to go to Puerta Vallarta instead.
Or: San Diego.
"In event of moon disaster"--that's a very evocative title.
