Captain was looking for a pilot. I found a husband. Seemed to work out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey--people that have done art history. I am toying with drawing a picture of someone that's been shot with a lot of arrows. What iconography do I have to call on aside from St. Sebastian? And does Sebastian have to be gay in its subtext?

Kat--she is your child. I will literally show up for random procedures, but I don't know if I'd do it if I had a kid, and I'd stop them from doing it to a kid. There's no way they can be their advocate. Overadvocate. Fuck them.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Boromir! And he was totes gay for his captain.

I don't know if Boromir will work. And I'm actually not interested in gay. I know, I know.

But there's characteristic posing and dressing of St Sebastian that I might be able to bring themes of into this picture, but less so with Boromir. I'll have to rewatch to be sure, though.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I was wondering if it's even easier to give in and go for extra intensive care for a kid. For me, enh, I'm apt to just blow off appointments. But for my kid? More so.

I called CHLA docs bullies.

Dali's Woman with Egg and Arrows is all that comes to mind for me. Well, unless you expand the definition of "someone" to include lionesses and the like.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Note: Do not Google "shot with arrows" unless you're okay with seeing sad pictures.

What is that lioness from? How did it become iconic?

The art school I'd been going to stopped intermediate/advanced figure drawing for the summer, but I was hoping they'd re-introduce it for the fall--I wasn't thinking much about art classes until then.

But they're closing!

So I'll need to re-find a school if I want to regain that momentum. Blah! Don't make me! I'd grown accustomed to the way they were weird and the way they were great!

eta:

Good lord! The task they told me should have the servers offline for under half an hour will have them offline for closer to six hours. If they need a note from the hospital, they can have it, but I'm not actually waiting 3 more hours or even trying to go back to sleep. I'm going to the ER. Fuck this noise.

I was not expecting a thunderstorm to wake me at 6:30 am... A boom actually shook the house.
