The art school I'd been going to stopped intermediate/advanced figure drawing for the summer, but I was hoping they'd re-introduce it for the fall--I wasn't thinking much about art classes until then.
But they're closing!
So I'll need to re-find a school if I want to regain that momentum. Blah! Don't make me! I'd grown accustomed to the way they were weird and the way they were great!

Good lord! The task they told me should have the servers offline for under half an hour will have them offline for closer to six hours. If they need a note from the hospital, they can have it, but I'm not actually waiting 3 more hours or even trying to go back to sleep. I'm going to the ER. Fuck this noise.
I was not expecting a thunderstorm to wake me at 6:30 am... A boom actually shook the house.

It's an Assyrian carving from Nineveh, currently in the British Museum and considered a masterpiece of depicting the sport of lion hunting.
I have a nurse who doesn't believe I have a headache, because I'm not acting right for a headache. A doctor just told me it's never been documented that I tolerated it without problem. I told her that it was, because I had it last week, and I tolerated it well. So she changed her position, saying that not tolerating it was worse.
She's been really nice to me, I thought, but why would she lie? It's not a complicated lie--it's trivial to disprove. As lies go, baldfaced. I'm not sure how not to cry right now.
She says she found it in my records where I didn't tolerate it. At least age said she'd show me that. She is the first.
The nurse is telling me no one on the floors (like if I got admitted to neuro) would give me this. Of course I've been given this in neuro, as well as the observation unit where I was admitted last week. In fact, I've been admitted there to show I tolerate it. Which, unsurprisingly, I did.
I can hear my nurse repeatedly describing someone as "very agreeable, but..." Maybe it's not about me.
Magic muffin: Thanks for the ref, Matt. I don't think i can use anything not human, though. I'm not good enough to translate anything over.
I might suggest using The Dying Gaul and adding arrows to taste...
Timelies all!
My friend's party was fun. I ended up watching Hairspray the musical, 10 Things I hate about you and A Midsummer's Night Dream(which I had seen when it came out in the theater, but that was 12 years ago.).
Thanks, Matt.although he's probably less recognizable than the saint, I'm probably overestimating señor Sebastian's popularity. I don't remember why i know him. It's probably random and not indicative of jack.
The nurse (and those supporting him) have gone off shift, so now I'm just hoping my third dose will not be my last. Jesus, stupidity.
He was abusing 15-17 aged girls.
How many?
There were 2 girls in the original charges, but this man had been teaching in the district for 19 years. I seriously doubt these were the first 2. My good friend taught with him and suspected him of inappropriate behavior but had no proof. She tried to get some when one day she walked in on him with a student at school. Later that day, she walked in on him with the second student. She reported him to DCFS and so began the legal ramifications.
At the time he was caught, the 2 girls were 18, but he had been having "relationships" with them for 2-3 YEARS.
