"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Beau and I literally spent 8 hours today resolving DMV matters (getting new licenses and registering our cars). What a PITA. We still aren't done because the license plate screws have rusted in our cars (I think), so I am going to take the vehicles for an oil change and get them to take the screws out.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

WRT Lance Armstrong, I believe there were several eye witness accounts along with blood tests from 2009 and 2010 that had somewhat conclusive evidence that he had blood transfusions.

He wasn't particularly convicted so much as he refused to continue battling it, so he must have thought there was enough damning evidence that he didn't want to go that route.

holey hell!

Kids finished their first week of kindergarten. Noah didn't do so well at the eating lunch thing, at least not the one he packed. But he apparently DID partake of hotlunch and ran up a tab at the cafeteria. WHAT?!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, accidentally caught SMG on Letterman! She seems good. Her outfit's a little crazy, though. And her hair's too blonde, per me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What do blood transfusions have to do with doping?

Am I being obtuse?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

If you have the transfusions, you up your blood volume which ups your oxygen levels, which makes you better or something.

I think.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Athletes can take out their own red blood cells, store them for later and then inject it back in--resulting in more red blood cells and more oxygen delivery to the muscles. They call it blood doping, rather than PEDs.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Don't race horses receive blood doping too?

brillig

I thought some of his transfusions were in regard to his cancer treatments.

Pretty easy. DH had a high school baseball coach who taught some of the team members to do it.
