Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

They kinda bonded since the brother started talking to the ex's dead sister. I suppose you could build on that but you'd really have to want to.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Other than, "I shaved my beard for you, devil-woman!" I can't really think of anything. (Well, I'm pretty sure there are a lot in "Our Mrs. Reynolds," but they're probably all even more inappropriate.)

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Take me, [groom's name]. Take me hard?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

The one up on the corner just now was, "This would be a perfect time for a swear word."

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Back from my haircut. Hair is now six inches shorter, husband is traumatized.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Mal: But it ain't all buttons and charts, little albatross. You know what the first rule of flying is? Well, I suppose you do, since you already know what I'm about to say.

River: I do. But I like to hear you say it.

Mal: Love. You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I've decided that when I redo my kitchen, I want clear fronts. That I'll put the same kinda cling stuff to hide the contents so I can switch it up. And that I'll have an island where the table now is, I think, as it actually works well, moreso than my neighbor's which has the island counter jutting from the other wall, nearest the door. And I might do a popout window like my other neighbor did. Doesn't really gain that much space, but I could push the sink out 6 inches or so. And put in a really deep farmsink. With 2 sections, maybe. When I completely redo the kitchen in something like 15 years.

I might be avoiding thinking about cleaning and yardwork and my hell swim-week (Annual pool cleaning, have to drive to Towson starting Monday until next Tues. And Sunday is Parkville. Fuuuuuck.) right now.

Because books.

Ginger, will you marry me? That's perfect.

Went to dinner with my parents at a great Italian place, and didn't have anything to drink but a sip of limoncello (ick), and I feel drunk anyway. Sadly, I think it's just my blood sugar is sky high. But it was so worth it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ooh, thanks, Ginger. That might work nicely.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yes! I'm almost cleared to sleep! One more task on the repository backup.

I guess I could have dinner.

But I figure if I'm sleeping my head doesn't hurt.
