I am always cookie deprived. But I'm going for cupcakes tonight, so it's okay.

Today's Goth Fashion question: do I want to blow some spending money on buying two tubes of a custom-blended shade that will match my One True (discontinued!) Lipstick? I suppose I should make this decision after my tattoo consultation on Sunday, so I know if I have any flexibility in my budget.

(Dammit, Chanel. WHY did you discontinue Vamp? No, the "new" version of Rouge Noir is not the same color, don't try to tell me it is.)

I'm making peanut-butter cookies this weekend (or possibly tonight), but instead of peanut butter, I'm using TJ's chocolate-almond spread (like Nutella, but almond-y, instead of hazelnutty). I anticipate yumminess.

I've been wanting to try that out as well. The GF peanut butter cookie recipe? Oh, that should be sooo good.

Yeah, the super-easy one that's 1 cup of PB, 1 cup of sugar, 1 egg, and 1 tsp of baking powder.

It's actually a test batch for a Labor Day party. (No, it's ACTUALLY Tim's sneaky plan to get cookies. When I mentioned I wanted to make a variation on the PB cookie recipe with the chocolate-almond spread, he said, "You should make a test batch to be sure they work." With a straight face, he said this. I laughed at his shameless ploy, but I am making cookies anyway.)

TJs ALSO has figs right now, so I'm going to get some and roast them with goat cheese and honey. Maybe tonight.

Yep. This one is the memorial tattoo in honor of my mom. Crossed keys of the Haunted Mansion (she loved Disneyland, and the Haunted Mansion was her favorite), her dates on the heads of the keys, and a ribbon around the keys that says "Love Mom" in her handwriting.

oh Jilli. that sounds fabulous. I thought you had already gotten that tattoo. Where on your body will this be? Arm?

I hadn't gotten it yet, because there was the issue of getting the design done, and getting the money together for it. I'm going to get it on my upper left arm.

The consultation on Sunday is to find out if the design needs any last-minute tweaks, approximately how long it will take, and a price quote. And finding out if my tattooist has the UV-reactive white ink, because that's what I want to use for the dates and the ribbon.
