Congratulations to the class of 1999. You all proved more or less adequate.

Since this is as far north as I'll ever move, I'll do what I can, but I have a mortgage, so I ain't moving. (And you lived in fucking Toronto. That cold for 4 days in Jan rivaled Prague's over 3 months!)

Ah good, I should be in town then.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've started watching Game of Thrones. Is it wrong that I kind of wish it were Kings instead?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

To be precise, I lived in Montreal.

I think that's technically colder.

Hmm. Now I have to look that up...yeah, never mind. Both too fucking cold for secondary sexual characteristics.

Disk #3 of the first season of Community. Such joy!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have been to the store. Also got cereal.

sara, is there, like, a super heavy-duty hurricane-proof outlet you can get?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I would believe that Montreal is often colder than Toronto. Detroit probably has temperatures similar to Toronto.

Looks like CJ officially got his car today. At least KCD's wife called to make sure I was ok with the whole thing. After it was a done deal for the most part. But I guess I had the opportunity to veto the thing.

Yeah, people kept telling me (laughing to themselves) "Oh, your first Michigan winter will be fun!" First off, why is this funny? Secondly...yeah, but no.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

First off, why is this funny?

The suffering of others is always funny! cf., Moe poking Larry in the eyes.

Punishingly Intricate

I swear one year for Christmas parade (first weekend in December) it was in the 80s. My friend and I made frozen margaritas and took them up in plastic cups to watch the parade.

Not that we can promise unseasonable warmth!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

First off, why is this funny?

It's a standard Midwestern hazing ritual practiced on anyone moving here from what we perceive to be a warmer climate.
