You're talking to Serenity. And, Early... Serenity is very unhappy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

There's going to be one shirt with all 7--that one doesn't have to be legible or anything--it's mostly just gesture, and all of us will be wearing a shirt with just a picture of us and her, and the quote.

I just realised that the text doesn't need to be on the picture, does it? That might solve that issue....

I'm still largely overwhelmed, and irritated that at least one person has dropped off the planet without word one even "go on without me!" It's not like we're doing life saving surgery, but any attempt to not act like cats I need to herd is always appreciated.

I've been randomly googling design ideas, and hopefully...ah, let's just plunge in. Why has 1, and only 1 person sent a portrait orientation picture? Poopy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You are right, text might be easier off. You could do, like, matting for a picture, where there's a thick border around all the images, and the text could cross that, and the border could be a consisten shape and let the orientation fluctuate inside that.

Liese - do you all have any need for good condition, but used guitars?

So far I've cropped all the photos with the same ragged border, and I'm going to see how I can arrange the text. The portrait one is definitely going to break the text layout pattern, if nothing else...

These are not nail colours I like, but I find them kind of distantly pretty: [link] (turquoise and gold).

I have pottery from the 50s that looks like that.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

A new Jillifont has been found

Oh swell.

Trogloraptor is a pretty badass genus name.

Okay, that I will agree with.

ita !, I love the ties you found. Someday I will own something from Cyberoptix.

Last night on Tumblr I had an eldergoth tantrum and told them I was turning this internet around and grounding everyone. I stand by my statement, because there is NO reason for someone on Etsy to have tagged a Backstreet Boys t-shirt with "90s Goth". NONE.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Maybe the whole tag was cut off; it was actually "90s Goth Me Down :(".

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Msbelle is the boybandiest.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I know nothing about design, but feel like text that is white outlined in black or vice versa would be readable on anything, but also that it probably would be easier to have the picture and then the text under. Or over.

It's really sad how little I know about design -- I was trying to put two logos on something at work, and I could tell it was terrible, but had no idea how to fix it! And the answer was embarassingly simple, when someone else looked at it.

Two things I love: The bookstore which will buy my old books and let me get more books. They bought five or six from me, and I gave them another dollar and left with three books. This is perfect, since my main reason to sell books is lack of space. I was surprised they wouldn't take the one I bought last week, but wonder if they'll take it in six months. Hilariously (but not actually surprisingly), they wouldn't take the one by William Weld, because you know everyone bought that as sort of a gag gift.

Also I love Trader Joe's! My new local one is about a mile away, and bigger than any one I've ever gone to! And sells wine. I bought slightly more than was comfortable to carry home, but won't do that again. I was definitely in restock mode.

Next I'm going to clean a lot of lettuce and put it in tuppers for salads. I hate making salad so much (especially with dirty CSA lettuce) that I never do it, but if I make up several now, I will eat them this week for dinner.

And my apartment is Very Close to being put together. Phew!
