Sir? I'd like you to take the helm, please. I need this man to tear all my clothes off.

I'm making sure I'm properly hydrated (I normally consume multiple liters of water throughout the day and won't be able to for the rest of the afternoon) and now I'm fearing I might need pee breaks. Oops.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

At least with Bubba, breaking things is not followed by a trip to the vet, the way it tended with Perkins.

He also hasn't set himself on fire yet, so that's a plus.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Good god, motherfuckers. I just spent forever looking for the Word document with the steps we have to go through in order to spin up a new public web site (currently 28, in case you're counting). It's a gddamned Excel spreadsheet because I got lazy and wanted to use conditional formatting to colour code my resource name...

Seriously! 28 steps! At least 3 weeks, and that doesn't include any of the time it actually takes to make anything. I tried to make a cross functional flowchart, but it soon gained sentience and broke free. As soon as it had a clear shot for the elevator, the chase was over. So back to Excel it is. It's very pretty.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

The police haven't made any arrests and I am not sure they even have any suspects. It happened in a, for Baltimore, relatively safe part of town. There is a vigil tonight and I think I will go. For what it's worth. It is all just so senseless and sad.

Jesus, I'm sorry.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I tried to make a cross functional flowchart, but it soon gained sentience and broke free. As soon as it had a clear shot for the elevator, the chase was over.

Ha. I'm gonna say 28 steps is too many steps.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh goodness, lisah, how awful. And Liese and Scrappy, I'm so sorry for your losses.

I'm terrified we may have bedbugs. That's what I posted about and then freaked out about and then deleted. I have done the research and know the signs, and we don't have many of them, but I've been getting bites every night. Calling an exterminator today and praying it's fleas or spiders. I slept in the guest bed last night and didn't get bitten.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yikes, Pix.

I was in a hotel two nights last week and now I have odd itchy little bumps on my left hand. They must be bites, but I'm pretty sure they're not bedbug bites. So annoying.

Sympathies to Liese and lisah and Scrappy. {{Buffistas}}

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

just fyi. If you have bedbugs, it is best to NOT switch beds as they will follow.

First thing would be to seal the mattress - everyone I spoke with or read info on recommended Protect-a-Bed and when I last bought them BB&B did not carry them.

Throwing things out is discouraged because it will spread the bugs in the neighborhood.

I am happy to chat with you via email.

Thanks msbelle. I'm miserable about the possibility. The one cool thing is that our local exterminator uses trained bedbug-finding dogs to figure out if you have them and where they are. I think that's pretty amazing.

Will seal mattress today. I will email you when I can.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, Pix.

lisah, that's so terrible. God.

I am back from the vet -- different story from a different vet, yet again -- and wish I could take a nap. I didn't get to bed last night until 1:30, and didn't sleep as late as I wanted to.
