Wow, -t, that's...wow.
I love my fizzed fruit juices. Only I forgot when I made this batch of passion orange that I was supposed to be mixing it strong, so I can either have unfizzed juice or fizzed watery juice. Hm.
The only one of the sodastream syrups I really liked was ginger ale. And the raspberry one was okay, but if I want a fruity pop, I'd rather have the juice based ones. I meant to buy more fizz while I was on the road, but forgot, so now I have to order it. Which is okay, and in the meanwhile, I need to see which of my cannisters has anything left in it.
I made it to the grocery, only the day after my trip, go me! But I went after the farmers' market, so even better. Haul: garlic, onions, green onions, zucchini, heirloom slicing and cherry tomatoes, basil, granola, and chocolate zucchini bread that was amazing. And then I got blueberries, peaches, and plums from the fruit stand (not local, though). So all I needed at the grocery was fresh mozzarella, bread (for panzanella caprese!), greek yogurt, havarti cheese, and ziti.
Nom.
Dishes are DONE.
Now I need to clean the bathroom, including mopping the floor; mop the kitchen floor; and possibly dust. Meh.
Whoot, Steph!
I need to mop my kitchen floor. Flylady says, and I'm trying to get back into good habits now that I'm home.
I haven't made it to groceries yet. Reading Olympics stuff. Like this snippet about intentional losses in badminton. How could the organisers have fucked stuff up so badly that losing was better than winning in the early rounds? I mean, if winning was actually bad, is it fair to force a team to play for the win? It's all very weird. It can't be that simple. Must read more.
It has happened enough in IL that restitution for the wrongfully convicted is a line on the IL income tax form.
I'm earwormed with songs from Jekyll & Hyde. I just found out that the Lucy from the production I did in 2006 will be making her Broadway debut this fall.
Okay, I'm hungry. Time to turn that farmer's market haul into, you know, food.

I have turnips, okra, portabella mushrooms, limes, and apples. Ideas for any of those? I am particularly lost with the turnips, okra, and limes. I have many limes.

I only know two things to do with okra -- cook with Indian spices and tomatoes, or coat with cornmeal and fry. Turnips, I've got no idea. Limes, you could make some limeade, or take a recipe for lemon bars or lemon cake and make it with lime instead, possibly with a bit of extra sugar. Or make a ton of Thai and Mexican food, since those frequently have some lime juice in the sauces.
From a ways back:
I'm seeing one of the weirdest fanworks (and this is in the history including knitted wombs) get a bit more frequent--fan!tea. I'm now up to three people in two fandoms who are making different teas tied to different characters. I'm more than a little boggly at the idea, and I'm the one thinking of having babies with her tea machine.
The fan!tea thing cracks me up, but it also makes me want to spend a lot of time on the tea site that they're all using, because I could totally make Gothic Charm School tea on there. It's probably a good thing I don't remember which site it is.
Bathroom cleaned, except for mopping. I kind of forgot the tub was white. (Not really.) (But it was that nasty color that happens when you assume that all the filth is going down the drain when you shower.)
Eating a banana and granola bar, and then mopping of the bathroom and kitchen will commence.
Then, DAMN, do I need a shower. (Relatedly, how is it almost 5?)
