Fooey. My little brother is doing the Leadville 100 Mountain Bike race today, and I can't get into the live video feed site. Appears to be down.

So, does everyone from the photographer to the printers look at this and say "Good enough for the brand."? I mean, knowing it's touched up, why not fix some stuff while you've got the liquefy tool selected?
This cake--I still don't believe it's a cake, actually.
Maybe the retoucher was named Victoria, and she took the whole “Body By Victoria” thing too literally.
Consuela, I'm sorry the feed is down. But tangentially, I'm in Vail for a Family law conference. There have been warnings everywhere about traffic but now I know why at least.
Good luck to your brother. That is a hard race!
Huh. After finally reading a news article, it turns out that Paul Ryan is an alum of my college and is only 1 year older than I am.
(1) Damn, I feel like maybe I'm slacking with my life. If I had worked harder, I could TOTALLY be a wingnut politician!
(1b) Yeah, no. I'm too lazy to wash the breakfast dishes from Thursday. I could never be a politician. But I could still be a wingnut.
(2) I feel like maybe I should remember him from college, given that he was only a year ahead of me, but I really don't. Still, it just seems weird.
FUCK YOU GOD. This body's by Victoria, and she's doing it right this time.
eta: Sherlock is not a sociopath--this probably goes for any fictional character, unless you've got a very determined and research-happy writer.
Sherlock is not a sociopath
Were we supposed to think he was? That's not really a question for you, ita; I'm just surprised at the idea that a line that was so obviously meant to be snark has been taken literally. (Granted that the fictional character of Sherlock sure doesn't play for Team Gloriously Statistically Normal Now Give Me A Budweiser, but that's a far cry from sociopathy.)
Yes, I am still trying to put off washing the dishes, and now watching S2 of Sherlock seems incredibly appealing.
Oh, hey--remember yesterday when I said there were lots of helicopters hovering? Thanks, Polgara. I'm thinking I've found out the other 2 in order to get to 4. But I don't remember hearing a crash, though. Poor pilot. I wonder what happened?
I didn't drive into work yesterday, but that's on one of my routes home. At about the time I come home, so I'd likely have been caught in the snarl of traffic. Last time something jammed the area up, it was an escaped convict. Clearly this a more exciting neighbourhood than I'd originally thought.
(There are sirens and helicopters going by as I type this...)
