Sometimes I miss having powers... Oh. Oh! I know what this is! This is peer pressure! Any second now you're gonna make me smoke tobacco and--and have drugs!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I put butter in the pan. And I back up to my NAS and have bunches of stuff I'm not paying attention to in the cloud. I should probably organize, huh?

Anyway, back on the road. Had a good time with the SO on break, now super ready to be home. Wish me mellow dog passenger and no burning semis.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sometimes it's really frustrating waiting for other people to catch up in a conversation--especially when they don't trust your word, and so you have to wait until someone else wearing an outsider hat tells them what you'd already told them...

And who knows if they'll remember this time anyway?

If someone wants my "welcome to so and so web site" emails, they will have to physically acquire them, because my primary email addresses are not free webmail services, and what's on that server only goes back a month. They'll need to get into my network at home, or find the right backup CD.

Only reliable solution is to hack my password vault. That's in the cloud. Though I don't think you can log onto it from the web...I should check.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm heading over to the VividCon hotel in a couple of hours.

Have an awesome time! Dana too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I butter the top bread, but melt butter in the pan for the bottom one. Efficiency! And lots of butter.

Punishingly Intricate

Butter the bread and shred the cheese! (Which I learned about in a grilled cheese cookbook)

I need to go pack as I listen to this terrible status call. ugh. Oh my god do they have to stop blaming their terrible design decisions on the way our requirements were written!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

BTW, working on Fridays in the summer is un-American.

I am soooo sleepy. I have a whole big thing to read, but I cannot deal with it!

Because books.

I've never been able to make a grilled cheese as good as one you can get in a coffee shop or diner, though. Something about those grills and the very orange cheese ...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Today should be my Friday but I need money and yesterday was a half day due to rain, so I'm working a partial day tomorrow. Thursday hasn't been my Friday, well, since summer started. Doing it wrong, apparently.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Thank you, Jessica and ita ! and tommyrot. I am elucidated.

As am I. Zenkitty and I are brainsharing today. (Zen, the song stuck in my head is "Steppin' Out With My Baby" as performed by Tony Bennett. Just in case you want to brainshare my earworm.)

brainshare my earworm

(Yes, I just quoted what I wrote one line above.) "Brainshare my earworm." I love the English language.

Also, our butter is stored in the fridge and is too hard to spread, so I melt the butter in the pan for grilled cheese.

I can't store butter on the counter, as it melts and goes bad. My kitchen is that warm.
