Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

Acccckkkk. I just discovered that a guy I know and like (he is CJ's best friend's dad) is a birther. He really believes Obama was born in Kenya. I'm just....I knew we had different political leanings but I'm totally gobsmacked. Up until today I would have described him as a very intelligent man. I'm trying so hard not to engage the crazy.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Clearly, the AD quote I should use is "I know what an erection feels like."

Little Britain isn't as appalling after the whole series to date, but Rita is still ick, no matter what the rationale behind her character.

serial:

I saw a film version of Candy once, but I must admit it made zero sense to me.

The book doesn't hold together that well either--it hinges on every man but one needing to sleep with her (including family), and her sleeping with them almost unknowingly.

Loki just emerged from the cabinet he's been in for 2 hours. Knocking all sorts of stuff out in the process. I guess I have more dishes to do (it was a dish cabinet. Oh, and I do wash stuff before I use it from those because I know his proclivities.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The taxi question was regarding a hypothesis I read that said, men give the destination at the window and then get in the cab, and women get in the cab and then give the destination. Everyone I know, male and female, gives the destination after we get in, but I just saw a man on tv do the talk at the window thing. So. I think it is not true.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Toaster oven!

I don't know how to punctuate that to imply the right inflection....

I love that Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica wears ribbons in her hair and grins to herself at the warmup to the race.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Is anyone watching the Olympics who can tell me approximately when Phelps' race takes place?
