Aims! If you have free time to grab a beverage or something, please let me know.
We are coming in Friday night and doing the Con on Saturday and then going home that night, but if you wanted to come up and go grab lunch or something near the convention center, that would be awesome! We are going with the same cousins that I went to DC with last year - I think they would be totally amused to meet more Buffistas in a whole nother city!
Also - James Marsters is going to be there as is Colin F! ita - want me to wave at him for you?
Teacups for icecream.
But how do you get half a pint of ice cream into a teacup?
Strix, I'm in the Raleigh area (and I live next door to Calli). I also have a spare bedroom and would love to see you!
ita, WTF.
Silly Zenkitty - you eat the ice cream WITH the teacup instead of a spoon.
There's no reason they need to match, or even should
But is there a problem if they do? If I'm gonna need 10 mugs, then I just got 4 of them with my set of plates, so that's all taken care of....I'm not seeing the downside. It's not like they don't work as well, or anything.
And I didn't begin with mugs--I began with everything.
Aims, poke Colin in the ribs for me.
Strix, baby, hit me up if you come through NC. NCistas are collectively and individually fabulous, and anyway you showed me yours and I shall show you mine.
WHAT.
Barbecue.
Dear Guy Sitting Next to Me on the Plane:
No, thanks, I really don't want to see the YouTube clip of the racist comedien making fun of Asian accents. Really.
No Love,
Me
Nobody on the plane should be subjecting anyone else to any comedy, even if it's Dave Chappelle guesting on Community. Not Sharing Time.
My sister's weekend has no dress code.
I wanted a dress code! Just once! For like, an hour!
She totally does not get a rush out of dressing up unless you make her do it, and then she only retroactively looks at herself and thinks she looked good. She very rarely sets out to look fly.
Uh, not that anyone's tried to look fly in the last ten years.
We kind of collect one-of-a-kind mugs. In NC potters are thick on the ground, and a hand-thrown, hand-glazed mug is a OOAK mini piece of art you can drink your chai latte from. So none of our mugs match--each other or anything else. And each is a little piece of handheld art. Dishes, eh. We have odds and ends from several four-place sets from Walmart, K-mart, Roses, Fred's, Target, and hand-me-downs. We can feed people, and I'll throw on a tablecloth to tie a color in all the pieces together. We have several place settings of matching glasses and flatware, but I like the random dishes.
