Whoa! I... I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan. Now I'm having a wiggins.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We kind of collect one-of-a-kind mugs. In NC potters are thick on the ground, and a hand-thrown, hand-glazed mug is a OOAK mini piece of art you can drink your chai latte from. So none of our mugs match--each other or anything else. And each is a little piece of handheld art. Dishes, eh. We have odds and ends from several four-place sets from Walmart, K-mart, Roses, Fred's, Target, and hand-me-downs. We can feed people, and I'll throw on a tablecloth to tie a color in all the pieces together. We have several place settings of matching glasses and flatware, but I like the random dishes.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have a lot of random vintage and antique dishes I've picked up at flea markets because they were pretty, and a bunch that came form my grandma's house. Everyday dishes are a set of Corelle. Mugs are random, collected here and there. Everyday glasses are the Coca-cola glasses I collected from McDonald's. What? I like them.

The status is NOT quo.

We use the standard white IKEA plates, and though I initially bought them for price and convenience, I've grown to like their simplicity.

Thrive to spite them

I have Pfalzgraff Yorktowne plates that Mom got a garage sale. they are the same pattern dished we used growing up. Not the same dishes, because Mom lent the set to her sister - who promptly gave them away.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

We have vintage Starburst pattern china. Most of which was a wedding present from The Nicest!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hi, Helena!

I'm tempted by these old Corelle dishes. I want plain white dishes, but these are close to what we had growing up and they make me nostalgic. They come with not only teacups, but baking dishes!

I love mugs. More mugs are good. More mugs mean longer before I have to do dishes between coffees.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hiya Helena!

I'm looking forward to moving, when I will get new dishes.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

did I get you that for your wedding?! I had forgotten. I have the same dishes, I am tempted to start collecting fiesta too though.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I use Fiesta dishes. I've always loved them, so I started buying them once I had enough disposable income that I could spend more than the bare minimum on dishes.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I have Fiesta in cobalt, scarlet, sunflower, and shamrock. I have 12 place settings and a lot of matching serving dishes. I want to add turquoise, but am thinking 16 place settings might be a bit of overkill. But I love turquoise.

I am sure these colors surprise noone.
