Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

So another court found DOMA unconstitutional: [link]

And the Democrats have adopted marriage equality as a plank in their platform.

Woot.

hip deep in pie

Kat, I have these Sophie Conran dishes. They are really nice and durable. I got a 12-piece, four place setting for about $120 CDN, so they were pretty reasonable. No mugs, though. (I have enough pottery mugs that I don't need any more.)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It drives me crazy that so many sets include mugs. Total waste.

sumi, I'm so sorry. It's never long enough.

Worse yet, teacups. Seriously, who uses teacups?

I never use saucers as saucers, either, but as little plates for toast or dessert. (Or as a lid for something I'm microwaving.)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Teacups for icecream. Or berries, grapes, peach slices. I'm a fan of teacups.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why should sets not have mugs? The reason I have more mugs is because I go through them faster than the rest of the dishes--I have twice as many glasses and mugs than I have place settings, minimum. But if I didn't have the mugs that came with the set, I'd just buy them singly.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I'm going to Chicago Comic Con next week! I might get to meet Tom Felton! And get my picture taken with him! Woot!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

OOOOH, fun! JEALOUS!

Oh, hey, btw (email me if you want privacy) I MAY be flying the kiddo into Raleigh, possibly.

Who's in that area, and if I DO end up flying him there to his grandmother's, any Buffistas in town? I'd be happy to arrange a flight back for the next day iffn anyone would want to see me and let me crash.

Like I said, we don't know yet, but I'm pretty sure there are Buffistas in the area.

Smart people can be stupid too

(delurking briefly because apparently I care about dishes)

I recently picked these over the Sophie Conran ones Sue linked which I also really liked. They are less interesting but also much cheaper (and we needed a lot due to big family).

I like having matchy mugs but totally understand the feeling that they're a waste, we have a million mugs from all over (souvenirs, gifts, craft projects etc.) but I like using them for cereal and soup and drink lots of tea (At least that's how I justify).

(and now back to my regular scheduled lurking) Edit: fixed lazy typos
