This wasn't the point of your post, but I think it's pretty easy to distinguish between the concept or idea of an artist and the actual experience of it. There's lots of them out there that I want to like the idea of but actually don't like their product. Like say Angelina Jolie. Or early David Bowie. Or Reggie Watts. So the idea of Nicki Minaj? You might want to like an excellent female rapper with a freaky fashion-forward style who "wants to be a mogul" but just don't like her songs. Conceptual frameworks for art aren't necessarily racist, YO.

I picture this to be the latest Law & Order spinoff, called Law, Order and Penguins. This just goes to show that you can't trust the penguins around wine. Sure, they look all sophisticated, but they have flippers! How are they supposed to hold the glasses?

I assume they have those cute plates that will also hold a glass. Those are darling. And totally fancy enough for well-dressed penguin party.

I was flying home from LA a couple of months ago and got nicely waved into Alaska's frequent flyer club (Thank you, Alaska, I love you forever). There was a guy there who was chatty as hell. But he wasn't in any way creepy and it shocked me how how really uncreepy he was. He talked about his girlfriend, his travels and people he'd met but never once made me feel like I was a lone or unprotected woman. It was ... honestly, shocking. And I basically don't look like the kind of girl who can "expect" to get harassed. The guy stood out not because he'd had great travel experiences or taken amazing photographs, he stood out because he treated me (and every man or woman around us) like a human being.
