This is my boat. They're part of my crew. No one's getting left. Best you get used to that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, this filmed bit (from a few minutes ago EDT) is the silliest thing I've ever seen!

Also, have The People gotten used to Camilla yet? I think she and Charles are adorable together. t /really not live-blogging

Isn't it? MR. BEAN!

Frankly, I think every Olympics needs to play the Chariots of Fire soundtrack. I literally wore out my dad's vinyl, I use to listen to it so much.

Everything is so silly! And/or moving.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I am watching at a bar with Tom and Nora. No sound, but the commentary is close captioned.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What filmed bit, Jesse?

I've read a couple bits on people who've had magnets implanted in such a way to add to their sensory input. It sounds creepy and weird and and potentially dangerous to me. Why would you want the bits to move around and stuff?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, Rowan Atkinson.

I was wondering why the children singing the nat'l anthem were in pajamas, but they were in the children's lit sequence, too, weren't they?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I only heard of them when DC and Baltimore ha that big storm a week or two ago. Never before (and I'm Midwestern!)

I had never heard of a derecho either, until one knocked out my power for four days, three weeks ago. Are they becoming more common, or had they just never gotten this far East before? Apparently it's pronounced de-RAY-cho, not to rhyme with Jericho as I had been saying it. I liked my way better.

Rowan Atkinson was funny. Of course! As was the Queen Not Smiling during any of her close-ups. And what the frak is going on now? This whole thing has been like a weird trip.
