Fred: It's the pictures in my mind that are getting me. It's like being stuck in a really bad movie with those Clockwork Orange clampy things on my eyeballs. Wesley: Why imagine? Reality's disturbing enough.

Because books.

But with no chance for post-season and probably non-competitive teams, I think they'll take a big hit.

I wonder about less hardcore out-of-towners, too, who might not want to be associated with going to the games anymore.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

So much of the Penn State community's economy is dependent on football, I suppose the NCAA is really trying to walk the fine line so they don't overmuch punish the truly innocent.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I am packing for Las Vegas and ROLLERCON! How excited am I about a week of derby on skate classes, seminars and world class roller derby bouts? Go on, guess.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Rosie thinks a bed in the middle of the living room is the best idea ever.

I have heard worse ideas!

I am packing for Las Vegas and ROLLERCON! How excited am I about a week of derby on skate classes, seminars and world class roller derby bouts?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't believe I called a meeting for 8AM Monday morning, and was late DIALING IN FROM HOME. For god's sake. I was intending to be logged into the network by 8--I was just walking leisurely?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I also heard on the radio today that there will be no penalty on athletes who are recruited elsewhere and decide to play for another school. usually they have to sit out for a year, but not with those at PSU's football program.

I can't believe that even exists! It sounds *so* fucking cool. I gotta remember--that for anything any group of people do, there's probably a convention of some ilk for it, where they nerd out and just do it when no one's paying to look. And talk about it forever too.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

The amount to which Penn State and many other Universities depend upon football for revenue is grotesque, and I LOVE football.

I doubt the community will diversify enough to recover quickly, but anything it can do to lessen the dependence on one sport will be good.
