Speaking of dismemberment, over on Mark Watches, as we're going through
Angel,
one poster constantly made sly, innocuous hand puns in his comments about Lindsey ("Let's give the man a hand," etc). My favorite was this one:
"I nodded off. Did you get to the part where you're evil?" These cutting offhand remarks may not be helpful, but I love them anyways.
Speaking of dismemberment,
I love that this is a conversation we're having.
over on Mark Watches, as we're going through Angel,
Oooh, S2 is the Evil Hand season!
The puppet episode should be fun.
I need to leave for work in fifteen minutes and I haven't showered. Can I do it? I think I can.
Yay!
I skipped a shower this morning as I slept in a bit. Because last night I saw
The Cabin in the Woods
and then missed my train stop so I got off five miles down the line. And then the trains stopped running for some reason and I couldn't find a cab so finally I caught a CTA train home, about an hour later than I should of.
This all happened because I was reading the whitefont in the Movies thread on the train.
So, um, let that be a lesson, or something.
Impressive!
Edit: Uh, Liese's quickness, not tommyrot's travails.
Wanted Man Turns Himself In for Reward
Taliban commander Mohammad Ashan saw his face on a wanted poster and noted the reward was $100. So he grabbed one and went to a police checkpoint in the district of Sar Howza, Afghanistan, where he demanded the reward. Officials arrested him instead. He was wanted for plotting attacks on Afghan security forces.
When U.S. troops went to confirm that Ashan had in fact come forward to claim the finder’s fee, they were initially incredulous.
“We asked him, ‘Is this you?’ Mohammad Ashan answered with an incredible amount of enthusiasm, ‘Yes, yes, that’s me! Can I get my award now?’” recalled SPC Matthew Baker.
A biometric scan confirmed that the man in Afghan custody was the insurgent they had been looking for.
This guy is the Taliban equivalent of the ‘Home Alone” burglars,” one U.S. official said.
I ALSO did not shower. I went to see
Billy Elliott
last night and didn't get home until after 11, and then couldn't sleep until around 2. So I snuck in an extra half-hour of sleep, until 7:30.
