Geez. The entire local police division is outside my apartment.

I can't lie, it was fun. Time did fly. Once I realised I could work it so I wouldn't have to make stupid faces on camera, but I could instead cut out beards out of paper for other people to wear as part of a spy disguise, I was pretty much comfortable.
They judged pretty accurately that there was no work done afterwards either--most people went straight to a bar afterwards. I tried to work, but just came home.
And I'm not writing that status report fuck that noise. I took an Ambien instead. They will get it tomorrow.
man, I wish I were related to shrift.
No joke. There were at least 10 cop cars out there, seemingly to arrest 1 guy. It may have been the end of a car chase. What caught my attention was the testosterone laden chorus of "Hands up" and some scattered cursing. The local news sources never have anything quickly at night. Hm, maybe twitter...

Where do you live?! Weren't you the one hearing gunfire, too?
It's worrying!
Well, I'm not in the parts of Chicago where the murder rate has been through the roof. Crime happens, but it's not a bad neighborhood. Honestly, I heard more gunfire growing up in Kansas City (and less when I lived in Detroit).
Good lord, aurelia! It's over and quiet now, right? That does sound like the end of a car chase we had here a while back: three sheriff's depts and a couple of CHP cars converging in our cul de sac.
Yay Field Museum and pizza!
ION: tonight's LA Complex is new, or new to the US, anyway.
The guy was in cuffs pretty quickly. It seems to be down to one unmarked car, probably waiting for a tow truck to impound the arrested guy's car.
Well, I hope this leads to fewer incidents of official knocks on your door when you are not dressed to receive visitors, at least.
Aurelia, I find you astonishingly calm about all that.
