Dear PM (who I actually like a lot)

Please, please, please stop messing with my formulas. The workbook is color coded for a reason. I've told you what color cells you can change. Now I'm having to troubleshoot the WHOLE DARNED THING.

No Love, Me.

Because books.

James Dean is adorable! He's so geeky and cute!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That second picture of James Dean is very "Ha! You thought I was a dork? Psych!"

My "issue" with the Frida Kahlo picture is imagining her being played, right there, by Salma Hayek. It's very...arresting. In an extra, pat-down-my-Kinsey sort of a way.

Jesse, if it's not telling tales out of school, how many followers does good stuff have?

My sister still won't let me sleep with Anthony Mackie. She's really hard core serious about this one.

Steph--I've just realised there will be two white people at my sister's birthday thing. Extra rope corset opportunity, since I'm assuming being male doesn't dampen the racial inevitability of the compulsion, right?

It's way not large enough for data points, but my sister is inviting 4 friends and three relatives, and 1 relative is bringing an SO. All the relatives are black and female, one is bringing a white male SO. 3 of the friends are black and female, and the white male friend is a former (and future FB) SO. all the black female friends are platonic and it's assumed they will remain so, since all parties are mostly straight.

So basically to be white and get into the clique, you gotta have a dick and use it. Hmm. Or, to be male and get into the clique, you gotta be white and willing to put out.

Something like that.

Right. It's either the time of day I update (aka retool from scratch) the project plan, pay bills and look for a plane ticket, or try and remember why I thought there was a third thing on my immediate to do list, which usually involves stumbling around tumblr until I give up.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Currently 172. I have been dying to get to 175! But you know, not enough to actually make it more of a thing that people want to follow with lots of posts and original content and whatnot.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I subscribe to Good Stuff through Google Reader, except since work blocks Tumblr, I can't see the images during the work day.

So you might have people who don't show up as "followers", because they don't have Tumblr accounts.

Ooh, that's quite a lot, considering how many of those aren't us.

I will never understand the whims of tumblr. It seems endless and unpredictable. And mean.

Speaking of "never understand" I thought I'd stumbled onto opposite day when someone on IO9, a bastion of acknowledged Browncoat kneejerk behaviour if I've ever seen it, said "Browncoats would never do that".

What? Have a measured response? No...he means have a massive out of proportion response to something that's not that important, like those notorious Nolanoids who flipped their nut at a negative or lukewarm review of TDKR.

Whuhuh? They're (we're, to be fair) not capable of over-reacting? Did you miss ten years of internet?

Oh yeah, I'm sure more people follow it in whatever format, but I want more! Or at least a nicer number...

Because books.

What kind of original content do you think would work, Jesse? I could maybe help.

Gah! I'm blanking on TV shows that move really slowly in show time. Obviously 24 is about as slow as you get, but what other shows cover a really short time in their season, and how in hell do I frame that google?

I have literally no idea. I'm generally surprised by what gets reblogged a lot and what doesn't -- I thought for sure that Hellboy thing would be popular! Oh, right, by "original content" I just mean posts I didn't already get off tumblr.

But please feel free to submit whatever!
