Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That looks great, Anne.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thank you all! I'm still in a state of giddy disbelief that it's done.

ita, I hope your mystery event with iPhones is fun or at least not cringe-inducing. I'm a little leery of required work events that promise any kind of novel activity.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I'm asked to cover these desks all the time for extremely high profile people. But then when I go to interview for the job, they pick someone else...who then asks me to cover the desk when they're away. And then they all write glowing performance reviews.

I wish there was someone in the HR chain of command that you could ask that very well-formulated question.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wonder if I can bow out of the thing, pleading Ice Cream Sandwich?

My boss assures me a) it'll be rad and b) he won't be there. Also 1) it'll be rad.

And my manager assures me--I'm good to take time to go home for my sister's birthday. She might not be clear on the impact but I unleashed the feels.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

This morning, I noticed that the birds had noticed the bird feeders I had put up in my own back yard, and there were 3 finches on one of them, in my own back yard.

Happy thing!

(and then I left the house and everything went to hell)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, finches! That's what I mostly get in my yard: house finches, purple finches, and gold finches. I recently found out that they mimic other birdcalls, so they are a little extra fun to have around.

Oh, god, I just put a Batman cheque in a Batman card to mail during the week The Dark Knight Rises is released.

I feel...thank god the recipient is gonna take that entirely the right way.

The US doesn't issue Batstamps, does it?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I feel...thank god the recipient is gonna take that entirely the right way.

My birthday was last month, yo.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There were comic-book stamps, some of which had Batman. Maybe those are not issued anymore, though. I haven't bought stamps in two years.
