I'm thinking about buying something very expensive. Maybe an antelope.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yes, Jesse. It's made it difficult to have a therapist because virtually nobody iad hours past 5:00. Which is when I usually leave the office. I wonder why nobody thinks about being open for hours like 1:00 to 9:00. Gives you the morning to run your errands and then get the after-work trade.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

The office I do a lot of work for has Therapists who start at 6:30 AM, and other who work late, taking appointments up to 6:30 PM (session ending at 7:00 PM).

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have a caregiver to interview on Wednesday. This would be a part-time position hired through an agency to work 2-6 or 7 every weekday, do a little housework, pick-up mac, guidance on homework/chores, and then play/monitor. FINGERS CROSSED! Getting this filled before school starts would be such a relief.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know what time my sleep psychologist's hours started, but she did run conveniently late. She was hella expensive and not covered by insurance and tried to guilt trip me into continuing her woo woo your heart has a sensory field bullshit and there's an envelope with her logo on it lying unopened in a stack of mail just brought upstairs...

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I got rejected. Again. I'm just giving up on interviewing. I'm more than qualified. There's just something wrong with me. And I'm irritated. Throwing myself into another book-writing binge, I think. The hope of getting published again is keeping me afloat.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary gets home from a business trip in a bit(depending on whether or not the plane is on time), then leaves for another one early Wed. Ah, well...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

You are more than qualified, Allyson. I am sorry this is so frustrating. But you are also a hell of a writer, so I can't help but be happy with you wanting to do more. I just wish it weren't because you were being treated so poorly by interviewing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There is nothing wrong with you, Allyson.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

At lunch today I got a text from a coworker saying "SOS! E needs you back here ASAP!"

So I paid for my lunch and rushed back to work.

When I get into the house and ask where the fire is, it turns out that there is a poisoned chipmunk squeaking it's last squeaks in E's office in a cozy little nook of discarded fabric.

Now, if I hadn't already gotten my lunch, if the last meal I'd eaten was at 5am and I'd rushed back because of a half-dead chipmunk, I'd a been truly pissed. The fuck, coworkers? Cry wolf much?

It's been three years since I got the Tom & Jerry distress call about a rodent in the building. 6 capable adults in the house, and they foul my lunch break.

I don't think it's possible to know why you don't get a job if you're not one of the people who doesn't give the job. Anything else is just borrowing stuff to worry about--which is a time-honoured hobby, but you might as well admit it's nothing other than a hobby.
