Not my beautiful cake either.
Not my beautiful cake either (much to Pete's confusion), but if you say Beastie Boys to me, my brain starts playing "Sabotage".
You don't actually NEED a comments section at your online magazine. You just don't.
I agree with this. There are only a few posts that have comments enabled on GCS, and they're heavily moderated.
Allyson, count me as another "not my beautiful cake" data point as regards Beastie Boys.
My decision to avoid the rest of the Internet forums seems like a good one. You brave, hardy folk go out to the scary places and bring all the important information here, and I appreciate that.
Share the recipe, Jesse?
It's sort of this, [link] with more egg (I had two leftover yolks, so I did those plus a full egg) and less cheese (I had probably 8-9 oz left) and plus the lemon basil.
My question is this: What's your favorite Beastie Boys song?
First one to come to mind was "Fight for Your Right", but thats really just an association thing. Then I thought "No Sleep Til Brooklyn", but thought "Oh, wait, 'Intergalactic' or 'Body Movin' " Ultimately, I must go with "Intergalactic"
Sorry--I don't really know from the Beastie Boys. I think I was deep into my Bowie phase when they first got big.
In the tale of going through my shit, I have listed three pairs of shoes and a dress on eBay, and pulled two little grocery bags full of sweaters to donate. It seems potentially risky to sort sweaters when it's so hot, but I know I didn't wear any of these last winter.
The only comments sections I delve into are primarily the one for the Salt Lake Tribune, which local consider to be scandalously liberal and non-locals consider just a little to the left of the Tea Party. It reassures me to see people in Utah who are passionate about relatively progressive things.
Other than that, it's occasional dips into Think Progress and The Royal Order of Sartorial Splendor, which follows royalty and what they wear and their bling.
It's risky to sort sweaters because you'll get rid of ones you wouldn't get rid of if it was cold? But that you shouldn't get rid of?
I've managed to move some of the bags for Goodwill into my trunk. But every time I've been driving past Goodwill it's been past 6, and I've been half-assedly assuming it'd be closed. I should just check that out. Like, before I hit post on this.
Dammit.
Okay, 8PM. No excuse not to get rid of the stuff next day I drive into the office. Not unless I go severely work crazy. I wonder if that place also takes non-working electronics. I feel bad dropping that off. It's very "psych!" But the thing said they'd take electronic waste...
I complained about the ION spots to John Rogers, and he said they're getting mad crazy viewership numbers on ION, so I guess either they're
that
good, or I'm that not plugged in. Either way is reasonable. I still feel I would be more successful buying the BFF S1 than getting her to watch it there, though. She's...picky.
I want another morningstar muffin, dammit. I need to find a recipe for a pineapple/carrot/raisin muffin that's really moist. That should be simple, right?
I think I'll have to go with "not my beautiful cake". Brass Monkey is the first song to pop into my head, but I know that there have been more recent songs that I actually liked but couldn't name.
Are there psychological studies on people who troll? They can't all be pre- or early-teens going through a trash-talking phase.
I've managed to move a bunch of Goodwill stuff into the car, but I haven't managed to actually go to the Goodwill yet.
Damn, it takes me SO LONG to do anything. Weeks, months, even. What is wrong with me?
