All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think I'll have to go with "not my beautiful cake". Brass Monkey is the first song to pop into my head, but I know that there have been more recent songs that I actually liked but couldn't name.

Are there psychological studies on people who troll? They can't all be pre- or early-teens going through a trash-talking phase.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I've managed to move a bunch of Goodwill stuff into the car, but I haven't managed to actually go to the Goodwill yet.

Damn, it takes me SO LONG to do anything. Weeks, months, even. What is wrong with me?

Staples or Best Buy will take the non-working electronics.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I was not a Beastie fan, so the two songs I remember are "Fight for Your Right" (indifferent to) and "Intergalactic" (wished one of those musician-targeting charter planes had gotten to them before the recording session).

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

He's basically CalGal with angel investors.

That sent a chill up my spine. Except -- didn't CalGal ban people like crazy? Or did she just heap nasty insults (ISTR "dipshit" was a favorite of hers) upon them until they went away?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

(wished one of those musician-targeting charter planes had gotten to them before the recording session).

Too soon, I think.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's risky to sort sweaters because you'll get rid of ones you wouldn't get rid of if it was cold? But that you shouldn't get rid of?

Yes, that's what I meant. Because I almost got rid of ALL of them, because how could anyone ever in life (today) want to wear a sweater????

I need to find a recipe for a pineapple/carrot/raisin muffin that's really moist. That should be simple, right?

I would think those three ingredients would tend to make any muffin moist, yes. Oil not butter would also help, I think.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Too soon, I think.

Yeah, I have no sense of humor about this, but I'm not entirely rational, so.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I think summer is the time to sort sweaters. Maybe I should do that today... nah. Have many other more important house-keeping/organizing things to do.

All right, my fellow and most-trusted geeks. Chewbacchus (DIY sci-fi krewe) is having their 2nd annual Alien Beach Party next Saturday. I wish I could do something like an Adipose in a coconut bra and grass skirt, but I don't have that much time to commit to making a costume this week, and also I'd pass out from heat exhaustion.

My fallback plan is to wear fairly normal beach wear (sarong over bikini, sheer slightly odd coverup tank, little sci fi touches like OTT makeup) and carry a Sharpie (you know where this is going, don't you?). So then, throughout the night, pretty much cover all exposed skin with hash marks (it's a Doctor Who thing, for those going bzuh?).

I was trying to think of some kind of cosplay girl Doctor thing, but... no inspiration. Any ideas? Doesn't have to be DW, but needs to be comfortable and not involving spraypainting my whole body green or doing crazy prosthetics.
