Some stranger on tumblr just asked if ita was really my name. I shouldn't be answering that shit, but since it's only just now occurred to me to ask my parents which one of them made it up, I figured I'd go ahead and satisfy his curiosity.
I do not expect my parents to remember, though. It's not the sort of thing they keep track of. Basically nothing to do with our childhood is the sort of thing they keep track of. I think they were just waiting for us to be able to earn a paycheque, and up until that was a blur. Which, in my sister's case--almost 30 years.
I spent an hour on the phone home, mostly telling my mother about the work meltdown. She seems to think there's any position in corporate America where I won't answer to anyone, but I also won't manage anyone and it fits my skill set. I don't know why she keeps believing this. But she wants to fix shit, and is now pretty convinced my boss is insane and someone has to be sleeping with someone. Which...just so worlds of no.
So, this Excedrin thing -- is it just the Migraine designation that they stopped? Because that had the same ingredients as the regular old Extra Strength Excedrin. That's still out there, right? I ask because it is what I use.
[ETA:] Huh. Kinda looks like. But the CVS brand has the same active ingredients and formulation, so there you go.

Well I got the laundry hung on the dryers, then cleaned a litter box, the washed a sink of dishes, and made dinner. humph, done for the day indeed.
My day turned out to be so nice! I think every member of my family was tired and possibly cranky when we got started, but then we had the traditional ham salad lunch, and went to the beach, and it was lovely! Hung out in the water, talked to everyone, didn't talk some, then went back to the house for cake and etc. Happy birthday to my grandmother! I forgot a card, though, so I have to get one tomorrow and mail it.

All I've done today is avoid home productivity. But I did some work work to justify avoiding it.
And it turns out the bottle of "Excedrin" in my purse actually is the CVS brand. I must've just assumed the store was out last time. Or I was being frugal. Either way.
I really do have to clean the kitchen now.
