Ooh, look Frankenstein Jr. stained glass.
Did any of y'all you ever see that incredible stained glass in Voluptuous Panic (the book on Weimar Germany)? Just a stunning piece from the '20s of a dominatrix standing over her sub in beautiful detail. So wicked.
Yup, Frankenstein Jr., paired with The Impossibles (a superhero rock band).
Huh. I saw Frankenstein Jr. in syndication, paired with Space Ghost.

Cool. I'm not sure, but I think I recognize the middle Impossible.
Hec, maybe you know: If Frankenstein Jr. was a robot, why did he look like a Frankenstein's monster, with the ragged clothes and stitched-together body parts? Was he a robot disguised as a Frankenstein's monster made of stitched-together body parts from various dead giants?
Maybe he wore the Zorro mask just to add an additional level of WTF-ness to those trying to figure out his "secret identity."
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Sox!
Happy Belated Birthday sarameg!

Happy birthday Sox! And happy belated birthday sarameg!
Thanks everybody! It was a great birthday. One of my presents is here: [link] (it's a Raq, a D, and an Amy). Relatedly, this weekend Raq and I took HPF and Mal to the Franklin Institute - aka World Domination Training Camp. We heard them whisper "robot army" to each other, and then they took off to hone their skills. [link] & [link]

I wasn't actually feeling my birthday this year. It wasn't good or bad, I just didn't feel like it was worth noting (it doesn't help that I actively dislike the number 37. Not the age, the actual number. I find I have Opinions on Numbers. Factoring everything up to 72 gives me plenty of time to contemplate how I feel about numbers. I don't like 53 or 43 either, but so far only 47 competes with 37 in terms of dislike.) ANYWAY, that's why I volunteered to babysit (G made me a card, aw) and didn't mention it (much) and there's a funny: opening the presents my parents sent, I got the usual (awesome-pearls on silver pendanty things) earrings and my thought was "Damn, I need to ask for a new earring rack cause I think I'm out of space and I get at least a pair an occasion." And then I opened the next box and it was a new earring rack, wood, stained dark. And a copy of Cokie Roberts'
We Are Our Mother's Daughters
. I laughed and laughed. Need to figure out where to hang it, I might need to rearrange my jewelry racks, cause I want them together but I don't have room where the current one is, and it can't be cat accessible...

Why, thank you.
Glad you ended up laughing on your birthday, sarameg!
