Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Can't do a neti pot. Tried once and it wasn't pretty.

Because books.

That house is cute, Sophia! And the kitchen isn't really hideous -- at least it's new, you know?

I don't like anyone right now.

They do sound particularly asshatty at the moment.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Mah sister in granite countertop hateage! We are few but...merry? I guess? I come from granite quarry country--there's even a town by that name--with a monument or headstone company in practically every town. Do not want a kitchen full of headstone, thanks.

We're supposed to be sunny for the next ten days, and get all the way up to 80 by Sunday. I'll remember this in November and February, when I forget what the sun looks like.

I joined Tumblr for visual input, and to get away from the verbal. I still read and repost political and social content, and I still make an occasional comment, but I value the overwhelmingly visual aspect of Tumblr. Landscape, seascape, starscape, cloudscape, pretty and striking humans, tea things, writing things, wildlife, and the occasional socio-political post. And Scola. And Jilli.

What about a saline nasal spray. I don't like the neti pot either, but I can use the spray.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Mucinex, to help loosen the congestion?

Afrin, to reduce swelling in the nasal passages?

Seconding this. Mucinex is wonderful.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Oh, I think my desk at work needs a Hypnotoad!

Want me to try to snag you one, or do you want to wait till August 2? (Spoiler warning: I may be too busy/lazy to mail it to you before August 2 anyway.)

I will try the saline spray. And the Mucinex is at home, which isn't terrible since it's the DM version so the earliest I could take it is tonight anyway.

Huh. I always thought Mucinex was best for a chest cold/bronchitis. This one is all in my head. The only reason I'm occasionally coughing is because of post-nasal drip.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Just because the cabinets are new doesn't mean you can't paint them right away and change the hardware. The rest of the house, except for the ceilings, looks great.

I do not understand the current granite love.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Bleh, colds. Good luck, Maria!

I have done the errands, including getting my stuff scanned, so that's good. Just in the minute I was in the UPS store in the hotel next door, I got a glimpse of how crazy that job must be. Half the people must walk in in a panic because their presentation is on their desk in Omaha or the Powerpoint doesn't work or something, and then there's the woman who, by the time I walked in, was asking directions to the closest FedEx, and me. Anyway, good times.
