Will someone bring me cake? My boss has not been in the office for a week. He leaves Sat. for another week and a half out of the office, so 2 days here in a 3 week period and he left today at 2pm. srsly? how does that work?
ms belle, if I could shove it through the series of tubes, I have lots of cupcakes leftover from my BBQ yesterday. Also, leftover salsa, and quinoa/bean/peppers salad, and some other stuff. Plus beer than neither my roommate nor I drinks.
Oh man, why am I working? I mean, I knew I would have to, but it's still annoying. I'm still trying to decide if I have time to go the beach tomorrow. HMMMM.

We just go back from buying him a foam roller because his ass is so sore from his cross-fit training. And he's got to catch an entire game tonight.
Since we were in the Richmond District, we swung by our favorite cheap Dim Sum plus and got lots of Siu Mai. Pork balls!

What's perhaps most baffling to me about the "when you get your period" thing is that, on average, that's within a year or two of her current age, which doesn't seem like enough of a difference to make a difference.
I'm certainly no less likely to roll my eyes at a 13 year old than an 11 year old.

We decided not to go down to the Mall like we do most 4th of Julys since a) it was ridiculously hot and b) we were still recovering from a con. Ended up at the Takoma Part 4th of July celebrations, and there were times where that was overwhelming me. Maybe I can blame the heat for that...
When a friend's 10-year-old told he was realizing a life-long dream three separate times during a conversation I thought it was adorable. Where is the line between "Oh, you're cute" and "Oh, shut up" ?
I know...I'm not sure. I like Willow Smith though, too.
