So there's an 85% chance of thunderstorms between 8 and 10, exactly when I'd be outside waiting for fireworks. Ugh. I kind of feel bad bailing, but not that bad? Ugh. Maybe I'll shower and see how that goes. I mean, it's not like I can't carry an umbrella.

We live one major block away from the high school from where they will be firing the works. They are testing (?) them because a few just went off. Makes the dog twitchy.
Everyone who wants fireworks or sangria or bacon and brie sandwiches or bbq should come over here! The weather is upper 70s with sunny skies.

The heat index is 102F and I've been dithering about whether I want to go to Target to pick up some things. However, I just checked the head index for the next two days and it's going to be 110F, so I guess today is the day?
